Thank you for screaming, blaring, the truth of our Shadows.
And oh what a Shadow!

When a human chooses power and control over human decency,
Thank you for making us realize you’re not alone in that shift

Thank you for letting us know that it’s time to call our folks back home,
to care for the elders

Thank you for being the one we couldn’t look away from or deny

Thank you for being the call to action, deep in our bodies, that we’d been praying for

Y’all Woke. Us. Up.
