I Finally Made Fire Cider!

FIRE CIDER INGREDIENTS AND PROCESS
The list of ingredients below is a big mix of many recipes I read from. Make one of your intentions to intuitively create your own blend, listening deeply to what the body needs to come into balance. Congratulate yourself and enjoy the process of creating your Fire Cider, infusing the mixture with your love and well wishes. As you use it, recognize wellness and healing in it's many different forms.

List of Ingredients From Many Sources (but mostly @ancestorsleaves who inspired me to make this medicine come to Life):
-Horseradish Root (I actually found this at a basic Safeway!)

-Ginger Root

-Turmeric Root

-Onion

-Fresh Garlic

-Herbs ( can be dried, fresh, whole or chopped e.g. Parsley,Thyme, Rosemary, I used mint, we'll see how that goes..., star anise, clove etc.)

-Sliced Citrus Fruit (Lemons, Oranges, Nectarine, Limon)

-Hot Pepper (e.g. Jalapeños, Habaneros, Serrano, Thai Chile)

-Daikon Radish (this wanted to be in my mix)

-Dried fruit

-Unfiltered, raw apple cider vinegar with "The Mother"

I used a mix of processes but mostly the two below:
The Process From @ancestorsleaves🍃Clean, chop, and toss everything into a clean mason jar. Pour Raw Unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar over herbs and allow to infuse 4+weeks. You can strain off herbs or keep to make a stronger medicine. Mix with raw honey and enjoy by Taking 1-2tbsp at first sign of cold or take a daily shot.

The Process From River Valley Co-Op:
Cover with apple cider vinegar by about two inches. Use a piece of natural parchment paper or wax paper under the lid to keep the vinegar from touching the metal. Shake well. Store in a dark, cool place for one month and shake daily.

After one month, use cheesecloth to strain out the pulp, pouring the vinegar into a clean jar. Be sure to squeeze as much of the liquid goodness as you can from the pulp while straining. Add ¼ cup of honey and stir until incorporated. Taste your cider and add another ¼ cup until you reach desired sweetness. Fire cider should taste hot, spicy and sweet. It is great as a winter time tonic and as a remedy for colds and coughs. Often people use it as salad dressing, on rice, or with steamed vegetables.

The Obligatory Recipe Blog Post Chit-Chat:

Ancient, Ancestral, Affordable, Universal Healthcare right here. I've been seeing Fire Cider pop up here and there, a sure sign to pay attention and lean in.

Wow, I actually saw something and MADE it. Felt pretty proud, haha, that's where I'm at these days. Making this medicine was a win on a lot of levels. Been feeling lethargic and hibernatie, I hate to blame the low, gray Seattle skies but, damn man, these low gray Seattle skies make it that much harder to motivate into action when I start to feel the throbbing mental and physical pain of INACTION. #wintervibes.

So yea, this is a fun, easyish one (the hardest part is grocery shopping!). It didn't take much time and creating the layers really massaged/perked up my creative side. Making things feels good....
Noted.

My only regret is that I didn't buy triple the ingredients and make more!

Can't tell if this would be the perfect gift for everyone or just me.....?
