Let's hope the seeds of warmth, wisdom and resilience our ancestors planted can change the hearts and minds of those in resistance to this tidal wave of change.

I was raised heavily in the church. I enjoyed the singing, when we had good speakers I loved the philosophy, was drawn to spiritual warfare and always curious about life after death. One side of my upbringing used the Christian faith to instill the ideas around compassion, inclusivity, generosity and gratitude that I'm still cultivating today. A different side of my Christian upbringing…
From May 31-June 1 White terrorists rioted, looted, aircraft bombed and burned down a prosperous Black community in Tulsa, Oklahoma. 10,000 Black people were left homeless, 35 blocks we're laid to waste and over 300 lives were lost. 99 years later our Ancestors are rolling through the land like deep thunder, "Let the olds ways burn, the war has been won and love conquers all" * * *
Alchemy: Turning sh** into goodness. Where you can, alchemize all money flowing into your life to change the world into a reflection of our highest hopes for the most beautiful future we can imagine. Whether that future is one with more flowers on the window sill, healthier food in the fridge or more knowledge in the noggin, make sure you spend your money on what makes you feel truly happy and more like your highest self. Clean that money up!
Unapologetically distracting myself from memories of travel days of yore with some TV today. I've found some gems that don't make me feel like a TOTAL trash person. Here's what I'm digging on the apps!
Black people can be all the things that White people can be and STILL retain our Blackness. Trust me, when you step into one of our family reunions the personality types, likes and dislikes are as diverse as every single other family in the world. We ALL got nerds and know it alls, we got hoes, we got shy peeps, we got loud lushes, we got punks, we got health nuts and we have dancers at all levels from wall flowers to dance floor slayers.
WTF happened to the world!? In like 2 weeks we’re just living in another reality. I’m sending lots of love to everyone. We’re going to get through this and luckily there’s lots of support to be had. Please check out the links and resources below. Please let me know if you’re looking for assistance in an area you don’t see below!
This last week I went through hell & highwater to arrive at a place where I felt confident and ready to lead people through what turned out to be an incredible meditation practice over four hours (ease up y'all, it's not (always) the tortuous hellscape you may be picturing lol)
1st of all, ALL planets have a retrograde but because Mercury reps the areas in our life that have to do with communication, learning and travel, we feel it big time.
Mercury Retrograde isn't here to f up your life! It's actually a cosmically perfect time to review and reflect on where you've come from since the last retrograde. Going inside and practicing silence will allow the lessons and themes we need to re-asses to rise to the surface. Retrogrades can be amazing times to reset, plant new seeds and redirect energy and focus.
I can highly recommend Kambo to anyone looking for a reset, a fresh new beginning. This medicine cleared me of all thought patterns that said I was worthless and and brought me back into balance. It restored my capacity to meditate and most beautifully, Kambo strengthened the connection and communication between the mind, body and spirit so that it could balance itself, naturally. The lifelong journey in balance just got a little easier ya’ll!
By now you may given up that New Years Resolution to eat healthy, drink less, you know, something vague and probably unrealistic. Or maybe you're following a growing trend to do away with resolutions altogether. Hey, I get it. The less we expect of ourselves, the less we have to be disappointed about.
Online dating gives you access to a huge bevy of people you’d never cross paths with and it’s amazing. On the flip side, online dating gives you access to a huge bevy of people you’d never cross paths with and it can be a shit show. It’s a numbers game, they’re not all gonna be golden tickets!
For me the cauliflower pizza crust is more about finding a passable alternative to a wheat crust (gluten fucks me up) than the drastic difference in calories over a regular dough crust. Just like a traditional pizza recipe you can top it with anything you've got laying around, a great way to get more veg in my diet without repeating my tired old stirfry routine. It's pretty delicious and cheap to make but makes me feel like a gourmand. Buon Apetito!
Somewhere along the way the meaning of Thanksgiving was....let's just say diluted since vanquished is a bit dramatic. Mindless gorging, Black Friday death scrambles and dreaded family arguments are some of the things that make us roll our eyes when we think about that last Thursday in November.
LET'S RECLAIM THANKSGIVING!
For most of us this is true: We are the hardest on ourselves. You wouldn’t dare talk to a friend or child like you do to yourself (Get of of bed, why are you napping?! You think you can fuggin eat that?! Oh really, you think you can pull off that promotion!?). It’s not cool and despite what we think, that prodding, negative self talk isn’t going to motivate us into changing
We tend to drink more in summer, plain and simple. The days are longer, the events, weddings and celebrations are seemingly endless and our more active summer MO gives us the perfect excuse to drink more. It's a three month party! Drinking consciously in summer can be hard for some. But not impossible!
