2024: Another Beautiful Year of Semi Woo and on to the next one
I rung in 2024 in Accra, Ghana, fireworks overhead, the sea air salty on my tongue and skin and tears of gratitude in my eyes. I had a deep sense that life had come to a turning point. I felt this sense of “chapter turning” not only because I had spent weeks visiting the land of my ancestors for the first time but because I was about to turn 40 and every story I’d told myself about being in my 40’s, contrary to American narrative, was that it was going to be LIT.
2024 was a relatively light year of spiritual work at Semi Woo but the work I agreed to restored so much faith in me about how deep and powerful breathwork can hit and how life altering harnessing moments of mindfulness and gratitude can be. I just want to share it all!
But last year I needed to do the work myself. I needed to heal chronic pain in my body, I needed to get grounded, I needed to face a lot of contrast in my life so I could get clarity and I needed to reset and recommit to my personal practices of mindfulness, meditation and breathwork.
I need a pause, FOR ME, and I took:)
In between doing my own work I got to support my community in these awesome ways:
I receive some transformational expansion in one of my Ancestral homes on a trip to Ghana
I facilitated a Private Plant Medicine Ceremony with a lovely former client doin’ the work
I got to support a Heart Healing Session with Breathwork alongside Maria Muñoz at Light Owl Healing
I held three dreamy outdoors Breath Meditation Sound Bath at Seattle's Waterfront for Friends of Waterfront Park
I got to participate for the second time at Refuge Outdoor Festival with a breath meditation Sound Bath on a river
I got to support Seattle City Teachers at a Truss Leadership training with a Breath Meditation and Sound Bath
I got to hold a Breath Meditation Sound Bath for the Golden Bricks Entertainment team retreat
I held another powerful Breathwork Ceremony at SHY Wellness
I got to hold a Breath Meditation and Sound Bath for a group with Leadership Tomorrow
Now that my cup is feeling quite full and nourished and I’m in a healthy balance of self care I’m overjoyed to offer more breathwork, meditation and excuses to gather. Stay tuned for upcoming dates, reach out for gigs and collaborations and most of all, take deep breaths and find reasons to sit in gratitude. See you soon!!!
With love and appreciation,
Heather Ace xoxo
